A group of librarian, IT professional, business analyst, artist, journalist and community guardians are voluntarily working for the library, constantly drive to create unique community services for Bengali speaking men, women and children, also bridging with the wider community through literature and cultural exchange.
Mustarin Shuvra – Librarian/co-ordinator
Currently studying Information Management at Edith Cowan University; also graduated in Political Science and completed a Diploma in Business Management. Mustarin Shuvra is a well-known singer in Australian Bengali community. She has been contributing in several Bengali cultural organizations in Australia since 1999.
Dinangkur Kundu
Graduated from CQU in Information Technology. Working as IT Support Analyst at a prestigious, private school in Sydney. In his personal time, he writes book and runs web development business called SmartyWeb.
Dr. Tanveer Ahmed
Dr.Tanveer Ahmed is a psychiatry registrar and writer. He is a former television journalist who currently writes a regular opinion column for the Sydney Morning Herald related to political and social affairs. He is also a visting fellow for the Centre for Independent Studies.
In 2009, he was chosen as one of the most influential men under the age of 40 by Men's Style magazine and by a PM's committee in 2006 as one of a hundred future leaders of Australia.
He also has a lighter side and has previously performed in several TV shows including RAW, National Bingo Night and The Einstein Factor.
Munir Hosain
Australian Bengali Library was founded by Munir Hosain. Currently he is working as an Information Analyst at a government organization; previously worked as a librarian and record management personnel for government and non-government organizations in Australia. In 2002, he became an Associate member of ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association). He Holds graduate and post graduate degree in Library & Information Science from Dhaka University, Bangladesh, also Post Graduate Diploma in Library & Information Management from University of Canberra, Australia.
Bushra Khanum
Currently working at National Library, Australia. Worked for United International University in Bangladesh as a Lecturer and holds a post graduate degree in Information Systems and diploma in Library Science.
Emrul Ahmad
Currently working as Business Banker for National Australia Bank (NAB). Previously, Worked for Grameen Bank as a Financial Analyst in Bangladesh and holds an MBA majoring in Finance from IBA, Bangladesh.
